50 shades of blue and simple touch of white and pink at Dior ‘s spring summer 2014 trunk show.
Christian Dior Boutique launches its Spring/Summer 2014 trunk show at Khayyat Center, Jeddah last March 19th, 2014.
Jeddah‘s Dior boutique invited Dior Addicts and other VIPs to an exclusive preview of its Spring-Summer 2014 collection. While women gossiped among themselves and eyed coveted runway pieces, the real trick was acting uninterested in, in the hopes you could make your way over and grab your piece before another girl did! One thing is for certain, Raf Simons continues to make his mark on the Dior house with his third ready-to-wear collection! Under the theme of “Traveller, Transformer, Transporter”, Simmons creates a flower tribe of sophisticated savages from a Jetsons’ futuristic biosphere.
The collection consists of tropical floral prints of red, orange, blue, and green colors used for silk skirts and dresses fanned in pleats. Simmons also used bold tailored jackets and deconstructed shirts to give a structural edge to his looks. In addition, he contrasted the collection with the feminine baby blue and soft pink knits that seemed to pop out in store. Dramatic silver jacquard dresses and bold, peplum tops shined and shimmered further capturing our attention–and for those of us with weak hearts, our wallets too!
