The allure of bedhead is hard to deny—it’s got ease of use baked right into the name. But it seems to be a rare few who can pull it off without looking like they actually just rolled out of bed. Here’s how to tame your natural texture the easy, chic way.

Because to look put-together, you need to have some polish in the front.

STEP 1 “To control frizz and flyways without weighing hair down, combine two pumps of TRESemmé Make Waves Shaping Gel Cream with one pump of TRESemmé Youth Boost Youthful Fullness Shine Lotion and run through the length of strands,” says TRESemmé Celebrity Stylist Tyler Laswell.
STEP 2 Take the same size sections of hair, and while holding a one inch curling iron vertically, wrap hair around it for a few seconds, repeating until all of your waves are symmetrical.
STEP 3 “Section out the sides of hair for a half up-half down style, and twist them back and secure with bobby pins or a clip, and finish with TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Frizz-Free Hold Hairspray to set the style and any flyaways,” says Laswell.

STEP 1 Split hair into three large sections—top, middle and bottom. “Starting with the bottom section, evenly apply a cocktail of two pumps of TRESemmé Perfectly (un)Done Wave Creation Sea Foam and one pump of TRESemmé Max The Volume Lightweight Moisturizing Lotion to each,” Laswell suggests.
STEP 2 Take random sized sections of hair—two to four inches—and wrap them around a curling iron, going away from your face, while holding the barrel vertically. “This gives the style a sexy bedhead quality that looks natural,” Laswell says.
STEP 3 “Flip your head upside down and then shake your hair out using your fingers to massage and lift the roots. Give your hair a mist of TRESemmé Perfectly (un)Done Ultra Brushable Hold Hairspray to hold the style all night,” he says.

STEP 1 “To give hair shine and movement, apply TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Foaming Mousse evenly throughout hair from roots to ends,” says Laswell.
STEP 2 “Next, take medium sized sections of hair and mist each with TRESemmé Get Sleek Perfect Polish Heat Protection Prep Spray before wrapping them around a medium sized round brush and hitting hair with a blow dryer for a few seconds. “This creates a smooth wavy blow out fast,” says Laswell.
STEP 3 “Brush waves with a boar bristle brush to create a smooth, soft shape,” says Laswell. “Then amp up the shine factor with a dime size amount of TRESemmé Make Waves Shine Enhancing Cream.”

STEP 1 “First, mist your dry hair with TRESemméPerfectly (un)Done Sea Salt Spray to get more texture and piecey-ness throughout strands,” says Laswell. For even more volume, “apply TRESemmé Max The Volume Root Lifting Cream to your roots and a touch midway on hair, too,” he says.
STEP 2 Next, use a round brush to gently lift hair at the roots, aiming the nozzle of the blow dryer on them for a few seconds.
STEP 3 Take large random sections of hair, and while holding a curling iron (one inch barrel for shoulder length hair; one and a half inch if it’s longer) vertically, wrap hair without clamping ends. “Finger comb through waves to soften the shape and hold the style with TRESemmé Youth Boost Voluminous Hold Hairspray,” says Laswell.
