Sensual, bold, strong: Anthony Vaccarello’s capsule collection for Versus Versace is a provocative and rebellious statement.
The collection features women’s and men’s looks – the first time Anthony has designed menswear pieces.
For women, a black mini-dress is slashed then held by lion’s head piercings, while a lion plexi ring is at the heart of a short harness dress. Panels of octagon cutout leather reveal the body beneath in long draped dresses, while bands of the famous Versace Grecian key cross the body on short dresses and gowns. Soft tailoring is sleek and playful, especially the bandeau jumpsuit, while new takes on Versace prints decorate blazers and a shirt which morphs into a tight black dress.
For men, octagon cutouts puncture a leather vest, while the new take on print are on shirts, sweatshirts and blousons. There’s also sharp tailoring in black for a sleek look. Accessories for women include high heels and handbags using gold ski closures, while for men there are white sneakers with gold lions head fastening.
The collection revealed at a special Versus Versace event in New York on September 7th, streamed live at versusversace.com with the world’s first truly shoppable catwalk.
