Last month, I was lucky enough to be flown by Pepsi Arabia to NYC for an amazing DREAM TOUR to meet the Queen Bey herself at her return to Brooklyn for the closing US date of the Mrs. Carter World Tour! Needless to say, my main concern was what the hell was I going to wear when I finally met the Royalty of Hip-Hop — if not the entire music world!
It was then that I decided to look at Beyoncé’s own style evolution. From matching, color-coordinated group costumes as a Destiny Child to her post-baby Mama Chic, Beyoncé has not only grown as an artist, but as one of today’s most important icons!
P.S. I wore an Ann Demeulemeester jacket, Herve Leger bandage skirt, and these killer Prada stiletto boots that made me tower over the petite singer (yes, people, she’s probably 5’7 — with heels!). Basically, I could tell she was jealous of my ensemble! Can you say “Hello, Ms. Competition!” haha Kidding!
