Unique documentation of men’s and women’s fashion collections
In the spirit of Halloween, we consider spooky elements within the S/S15 collections, as illustrated by Lewis Stringer
Halloween is nearly upon us: witches hats, fake blood, ashen make-up and of course, a tentpole moment for the pumpkin emoji. However during fashion week, we couldn’t help thinking that Halloween had come a little early. From Comme des Garçons‘s shredded bloodbath and Louis Vuitton’s cast of ghostly crochet dresses to Gareth Pugh‘s papier-mâché steer skulls, the spring collections felt unexpectedly dark at points. Balenciaga, normally a guaranteed early morning call-time, presented its first evening show, with an array of swooping black dresses and duster coats perfectly suited to the witching hour. Models walked on a glass runway with dry ice machines pumping billowing smoke below. So today, in the spirit of Halloween, we celebrate the spooky undertones of S/S15, as illustrated by Lewis Stringer.
