Well, what’s Harrods’ without another historic milestone? The established luxury department store will display a concept garden, next month, I might add! At the Royal Horticultural Society Chelsea Flower Show, May 2015.
Some of you might gasp, and ask if you read that correctly. Well honey, you did. Harrods will be working hand in hand with the award winning garden designer Sheena Seeks! Harrods “Fragrance Garden” will be experienced through what better way? Then with aesthetically and nasally pleasing arrangement of flowers.
Inside Scoop: Taking the art of perfume making, the concept will feature a symbiosis of nature and science, while never forgetting the concept of traditional perfumes. “The Fragrance Garden” is putting out all the stops and is implementing the century old artistic tradition of ‘enfleurage’. This technique captures the scent of flowers in wax; these scents will be placed on one side of the room, while on the other side flowers will appear in large beakers and test tubes and that’s not even it! Adjacent to the previously mentioned displays the flowers will reappear transformed into giant paper blooms. Let’s not forget the technological displays that will be featured at the debut.
