The Design Studio by Azza Fahmy’s jewellery course, supported by Dubai Design District (d3), concluded its workshops last week,where 10 participants had the opportunity to learn essential techniques, work with metal, and as a result; realize their own design.
Hosted at Tashkeel, the partnership between d3 and The Design Studio by Azza Fahmy was organised to further shape the creative community, while reflecting d3’s continuous strategic commitment to the Design industry in the UAE, by supporting emerging local and regional talents.
Commenting on the successful initiative, Dr. Amina Al Rustamani, Group CEO of TECOM Investments said: “We are very pleased with the results of this workshop and we look forward to further collaborations with driven, passionate, and gifted home-grown entrepreneurs such as Azza Fahmy.”
The course was divided into five days theoretical and five days practical, and was wrapped up with two private lectures by The Design Studio’s Artistic Director, Estela Saez, and designer Azza Fahmy herself, where they addressed the work of the distinguished participants and the intuitive, and often intensive labor of love they put into their creations.
