Twenty-one years ago, Dior created the timeless and unique bag named “Lady Dior” imbued with the couture spirit of the house. Naturally, after so many years of selling the bag in different sizes and colors, the French house made a smart move and decided it was time for a revamp! We love a good vintage bag but what we love even more is a good twist on an iconic bag like the Lady Dior!
In collaboration with seven artists, two Americans and five British, Dior created the Lady Art Project by requesting a complete revisit of the iconic bag in a limited-edition collection. The French house gave the artists total “carte blanche” when it came to recreating this iconic piece of accessory. A few months later the Lady Dior went through a complete modern art treatment and transformation, as all artists gave it a new look by using different inspirations and techniques.

The collections were recently revealed at Dior’s boutique in the heart of Miami Design District during Art Basel on November 29th. The new Dior Lady Art creations will by all means travel around the globe, as they’ll be presented in a pop-up store in Los Angeles, London, China, Dubai, Seoul and Paris.
