Here’s our rundown of the 2014 Oscars’ red carpet looks. Sorry its a few hours late, we were busy not watching the #Oscars , but instead watching True Detective.
Kate Hudson is my favorite and I don’t care if the kids know it! She brings class and sexiness to the red carpet in this Old Hollywood Atelier Versace number
Angelina Jolie Love the dress, love the woman, HATE how matronly she looks in this… Angelina Jolie is wearing what we call in Saudi basically a “Mother of the Bride” gown…
Margot Robbie looks like the Gothic twin sister of Jaime Pressly in this Hedi Sliman creation… and not in a hot way. More like a hot mess way! Go back to blonde, now.
Yes. Lupita is beautiful. Her skin is flawless. Her acting award worthy. But the powers at be are trying way too hard to push her as the next “it” girl. This is bleh… also, I could swear I have a 90′s Teen Vogue that has this exact pic of her in it under Prom Night looks.. down to the up ‘do and hair accessory.
“Another winner? Cate Blanchett in a pale gold Armani Privé cap-sleeve gown featuring a flared tulle skirt with crinoline edging, fully embroidered with dégradé sequins and light gold Swarovski crystal baguettes.”
“Then there is Naomi Watts in a beaded white cap-sleeve Calvin Klein gown. (The spidery diamond Bulgari necklace is not too shabby either.)”
Best Dressed… for at-home Oscar party. This makes me mad Pharell… I hate it almost as much as I hate seeing people traveling on planes in flip-flops & what I can only assume is their Pajamas? #underdressed isn’t a fashion statement, it’s a fashion faux pas.
I think JLawrence maybe trying to Keep Up with the Kardashians with this unflattering peplum Dior gown. I know, I’m going to burn in Fashion Hell with all the H&M, Zara, & River Island polyester scraps… but I expected more. I love the dress and would wear it… to dinner. The Oscars needed something a little more grand, Raf Simmons! In the great words of John Galliano, “What is this Raf, Zara!? I’m so bored” … okay, maybe Galliano never actually said that…
Worst Dress: Julia, Julia, Julia… pretty woman turns into midlife crisis desperate housewife?! It’s like you were saying to yourself, “I want to be relevant with an overly trendy peplum, and daring with a plunging neckline, but oh wait! I’m older now, so let’s make it lace to add some sophistication and cover my cleavage bc I no longer play the whore…” yeah, Julia… sorry, seems Riccardo has apparently let yet another Hollywood prostitute down– albeit you only played one on screen, while the floral-couch one has a blockbuster on youtube. @givenchy
Anne Hathaway annoys me. I have no idea about her Gucci dress. I’m too distracted being annoyed by her.
“Anna Kendrick’s J. Mendel gown was a confusing mix of lines and textures that didn’t flatter her midsection.”
I love how everyone is attacking the simplicity of the flawless red carpet look pulled off by Amy Adams in @Gucci! She is stunning. No hype or bold styling needed. If anything is underwhelming, it’s everything that has to do with Great Gatsby! #RobertRedfordMiaFarrowForever
Charlize can do no wrong. Even when her dress looks like the the top of Malecifent’s head… she is still a bombshell! @dior
“Jared Leto, a supporting actor nominee for his role in “Dallas Buyers Club,” in Burberry.”
I have a confession: i pray that Matthew McConaughey leaves his STUNNING brazilian model partner & decides he wants a hot, bad girl Saudi to live out his post-midlife-crisis-crisis with…
“‘Fruitvale Station’ star Michael B. Jordan in Givenchy tux.”
