The Queen of decadent Italian aesthetic, Donatella Versace usually travels in pack… A pack of supermodels, socialites, and her gorgeous men! She always got us ladies covered when it comes to some good eye candy. Last night, as she arrived at the Palazzo Versace grand opening, she did not disappoint.
The new Palazzo Versace sits in the heart of the Dubai Cultural Village, and its architecture is reminiscent of a 16th century Italian palace, with subtle traces of Arabian influence. Versace Artistic Director, Donatella Versace has exclusively designed the furniture and interior for each of the 215 rooms, creating the ultimate lifestyle experience in Italian luxury.
Through Instagram, Donatella gave us a sneak peek of her entourage to the exclusive event. A Versace family portrait was in order as Alessandra Ambrosio, Natasha Poly, and Helene Christensen all dressed in Atelier Versace Fall 2016 runway collection, posed for the cameras. The men model friends: Trevor Signorino, Vadim Ivanov, and Tarik Lakehal also joined in the picture later on, marking the Versace International Squad!
The moment Donatella arrived, the lobby was already full of guests, as they all got a chance to take a look at a selective exhibition of Versace’s couture collection and jewelry, straight from the runway in Paris. It was their first time showcasing in Dubai. Versace will be taking private appointments throughout the week, so that local clientele may meet with the Versace Atelier team in person and review the collection.
Donatella then launched the event with a ribbon-cutting ceremony presided by Sheikh Tariq Al Qassimi, Chairman of Enshaa and Versace’s CEOs Jonathan Akeroyd and Raza Jafar.
In attendance was Saudi Fashion Designer, Hatem Alakeel, who had a lot to say about the evening: “[An] event of this magnitude is an excellent way for us to bridge cultures and for brands to adapt to the region. A hotel is a great approach to communicate the brand’s message. Seeing Princess Deena Aljuhani Abdulaziz’s spectacular sense of style in Versace was the cherry ontop of the Versace Cake. Despite of all the supermodels and celebrities, all eyes were on her; She most definitely stole the show”.
Also present were socialite Deborah Hung and husband Stephen Hung, TV presenter and producer Nina Zandnia, Versace’s CEOs and famous bloggers such as Alanoud Badr, Sheida Fashionista, and Sleiman Dayaa, Danish designer, Camilla Staerk, influencers such as Mohammed Sultan H and the Senior Manager of IMG models Luiz Mattos.
