This Sunday took us back to the 80’s with the launch of Saudi designer, Dalal Al Hassan‘s first Ready-To-Wear collection. The 80’s inspired trunk show took place at Amara restaurant in Jeddah, KSA and was attended by generation X and its stylish fashionistas!
Dalal, a Fashion Design and Marketing graduate from AIU, continued her studies at the Instituto Marangoni London, achieving another degree in fashion and luxury brand management. Given her academic achievements, Dalal decided it was time to put what she learned into practice by creating her own fashion label.
“Purple Zone” was mainly inspired by the 80’s fashion and consisted of structured cuts, light material and fresh color tones of purple, blue, and yellow. Her attention to detail was seen on the bold accents that accentuated each design, such as yellow triangular pockets and fin-like embellishments that could be seen along the hems of skirts and trousers. If you are a fan of Cyndi Lauper and Blondie, Purple Zone is definitely the collection for to resurrect your inner Jem!
