Saks Fifth Avenue is excited to present to you an intimate evening in the presence of world renowned fashion designer, Zuhair Murad. On October 22nd, 2013, over 100 VVIP clients of Saks Fifth Avenue will attend this intimate eveningwear fashion show and enjoy an exclusive preview of Murad’s Spring/Summer 14 collection.

The evening will start with a pre-show reception where Mr. Murad will mingle with our customers and guests will have the opportunity to meet the designer. The fashion show will then commence, previewing over 30 looks from Zuhair Murad’s Spring/Summer 14 collection. This collection is inspired by the work of pop artist Victor Vasarely, contrasting strict lines with a leitmotif of geometric flowers creating a beautiful mosaic of modern and abstract objects.

Dresses designed with layers of tulle, lace and macramé will emerge onto a clean white runway, adorning preciously crafted silhouettes true to Murad’s cordoned signature. Dimension and texture bring an artisanal cornely quality to the collection as organza detailing lends organic volume to otherwise symmetric separates. The collection showcases not only evening gowns but offers a sophisticated take on casual glamour, combining crepe and jersey lace cut-outs that show the slightest bit of skin, while fluid palazzo pants in crepe and silk mixtures are paired with structured dynamic jackets.

The show will conclude with a serenade to color – prussian blue, mint, and red infuse life and glamour into a muted palette of nude, black and white, white and black.

Following the show, on October 23rd, guests will be given the opportunity to pre-book the Spring/Summer 14 looks, at a private one-on-one trunk show with Bassem Salem, Zuhair Murad’s Sales Manager.
