Our founder, Marriam Mossalli, decided she would cover LFW like a true blogger: more visuals, less content. Basically, she’s gotten lazy and we have no choice but to indulge her…since well, she’s our boss!
Take a look at her visual diary, in which this seasoned Fashion Editor, puts on her “blogger” hat (complete with neon & spikes accents) and tells us whether we should add these collections to our wishLUST or just skip them entirely… Now, anyone want to know what Susie Bubble’s hair smells like?

SKIP: Matthew Williamson presented a bohemian chic collection that couldn’t help but conjure up Missoni references

BUY: Not really sure where Sir Paul Smith was going with his women’s collection… I don’t think he had a clue either. His penchant for color and his signature tailoring was still evident although the seasoned designer maybe going a bit senile. I’d buy it (there are bold, practical separates?), just not sure how to review it? Oh yes: It’s not that good.

BUY IT ALL: L’Wren Scott KILLED IT! Her “Dreaming of Decadence” has me dreaming of my next trip to Riyadh so I can attack Harvey Nichols and stock up on these Gustav Klimt-inspired looks. Indulging never looked so fashionable! Bravo, Scott!

SKIP: Jonathan Saunders‘ collection made me sad. It probably made the models wearing it sad. It probably even made its muse, David Lynch, sad! And without a doubt, it definitely made Style.com‘s Tim Blanks sad.

BUY: Vivienne is still as punk as ever! There’s no reason to Keep Calm over this collection… bold, bright, and brilliant… the perfect way to stand out this winter! Long Live The Queen of British Punk!

SKIP: Mary Katrantzou took the monochromatic plunge and decided to play with silhouette and shape for this collection versus her signature colorful prints. Oragami-inspired cuts and Cherry Blossom prints evoked the Far East, but unless you vying for the attention of a street photographer (oh, wait, everyone is these days) I don’t see anyone wearing any of these looks soon except for a cross-dressing Bryan Boy!

BUY: Temperley London wooed me…. again. I can’t help it, Hitchcock heroines get me every time! But if you’re looking for the same suspense or thrill found in the auteur’s films, Alice’s collection does fall short. Instead, the entire collection is classy, chic, and ultra-modern…. and perhaps a bit predictable.

SKIP: Tom Ford, you’ve gone an epically failed on this one! And whoever says differently is simply trying to get into your gorgeous, perfectly tailored pants! The collection didn’t just flirt with bad taste, it full on hooked-up and became impregnated by it! The animal-print coats and evening dresses looked Pucci and NatGeo somehow managed to get in on the orgy. Either way, the best look were these pants that Ashish Gupta wants back!

BUY: Fashion is a business and Afghani designer Osman Yousefzada‘s Fall collection reminds us of that. While I personally like simple, asymmetrical cuts, there’s nothing amazing about this collection that you could really comment on other than his use of ethnic fabrics and well, the fact the clothes are EXTREMELY sellable. Commercial fashion at its best.

SKIP: Greek designer Marios Schwab‘s collection was a Greek Tragedy for me. I was not a fan of the silhouettes and even with the cool Farsi calligraphy motif, I couldn’t get over the tacky footwear and unflattering neck lines.

BUY: There’s something disturbingly awesome about Giles Deacons‘ creations… its speaks to the Art Historian in me and I can’t help but be romantically swept away by his designs.

SKIP: “Henry Holland is one of the few fashion designers these days who actually seems to make clothes with young people in mind—as opposed to middle-aged people who think they are young.” – Jo-Ann Furniss of Style.com Unfortunately, for me, I’m a young person who thinks they are–and likes to dress–middle aged!

BUY: Erdem Moralioglu took a similarly dark plunge as Mary Katrantzou… opting for the black rather than color. The only difference is that his contract of texture and graphic manipulation is eerily seductive, bringing out a femme fatale of girly predisposition and killer fashion.

SKIP: Unless you’re planing on going on an excursion to Maddein Saleh… then in that case, but all means buy! “The glamour girl decided to wipe off her makeup, go on a trek to the desert, and get some fresh air,” explained Issa designer, Daniella Helayel. #ActingRoyal

BUY: Preen‘s designers Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi have done it yet again! The dichotomized references from the duo seamlessly fused together to create a modern collection of aesthetically thrilling pieces. I seriously NEED them all!
